These terms cover Powderhouse's text messaging (SMS) program. By opting in, you agree to them.

What this program is
Powderhouse uses text messaging to stay in touch with students and families. Some texts come straight from our staff; some (like reminders or announcements) are sent automatically. Either way, they're always from Powderhouse and always about school. We don't send ads, and we don't text numbers we bought from anyone else.
Signing up
You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the consent box on our interest form or family intake form. Checking that box means you agree to receive texts from Powderhouse and to these terms. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian opts in with you and gives permission for us to text you.
Message frequency and timing
How often we text varies. We usually text during the day (about 9:00 AM–6:00 PM), but urgent messages may come outside those hours.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your phone plan. Powderhouse isn't responsible for any charges from your carrier.
Stopping texts
Reply STOP to any message and we'll stop texting that number. You can also email us@powderhouse.org. After you opt out, we may not be able to reach you quickly about time-sensitive things. To start again, reply START.

Delivery
Text messages depend on your carrier's network, so we can't guarantee they'll always arrive or arrive on time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy
We will not share, sell, rent, or trade your mobile number or your text opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only place your number goes is the service that delivers our texts, and only so your messages reach you. For full details on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we'll let families know through our usual channels.
